Lost Weight In A Short Period
My pony was a typical Welshie - cresty neck and fat lumps starting to develop and I struggled to get weight off her.
In a short period of time on Metabolize she’s lost weight and the crest seems smaller and less firm. I can easily grab the crest and move it about! You need to make something like this for Fat Labradors too!
I let her out without her muzzle for 2 days and normally she would balloon but she’s stayed the same!

No More Locking Up!
As an owner of founder susceptible ponies, we spend a lot of time monitoring diet and grass intake and being wary of sugar spikes so I was very keen to try anything that was going to make the life of a pony owner easier!
Our guys ranged from youngsters to an elderly, founder prone, mild cushings pony. Our guys were on a low sugar maintenance diet - there were no issues in eating the supplement, they maintained weight so well, they put on extra but in the right places and the best bit they were able to stay on their pasture (within reason) and not be locked up as is often the case with ponies.
Temperaments didn’t change on the product, if anything the ponies were happier.

Tiny, our Welsh Mountain Pony, has suffered from laminitis and arthritis - and is usually on anti-inflammatory medications for these. We started giving him Metabolize in his hard feed over a year ago to minimise any damage to his gut from the medications. Today his weight is perfect, his leg and hoof issues almost healed (although the arthritis is not gone completely). For almost 3 months now over summer, he has not required the anti-inflammatories. I would love if it came in a bigger size! And in a bucket so that it’s easier to scoop out! I have a very large horse both width wise and condition wise so keeping the weight off him proves to be very difficult with just exercise alone. He is an athlete so do have to provide energy without the fat. Metabolize helps with this

I’ve just ordered bag 3. I’ve joined a subscription and saved 10%. Both the minis in the video when I began feeding metabolise were slow the wee pally Peebles, would walk with her head down testing each step, turns were wide and slow. I’ve been away for a week and although I had seen some improvement before I left but a definitive change when I got home. Her head was more natural when moving with enthusiasm. Two days later and they are both playing and trotting around. Peebles is not yet 100% sound at trot but near 95% sound. It’s been around 8 weeks, and as Peebles was given with her donkey friend to me (I believe she must have been on painkillers when I picked her up as she had no lameness at allshe has been sore since day 1, never trotted at my place) I had made the decision if there was no marked improvement I would not seek further treatment and do the kind thing. You will see she is still on grass, I don’t yet have sand yards it’s a work on but I’m not set up to cater for laminitis. She’s been on Timothy pallets, all four feet a bit of salt and metabolise. Both minis have lost the crestiness and Teddys fatty body it easy to see those fat deposits breaking down. Once the new bag comes I’ll be putting them back out on old rank last summers grass while maintaining their feed regiment. Highly recommended giving it a solid 8 week go. They have had two slices of hay each a day and I’m trimming them regularly. If you know what you are dealing with you can skip the vet fees and give this a go.

My old boy who is 17 years old gets grass effected causing hematomas. On this product it curbs this effect. last weekend we were able to attend an endurance ride where we were placed 3rd. He felt young again and had a great heart rate going in and coming back.

Merry (quarter horse/ welsh cross) has always been a Foody and a bit tubby but he has been very grass affected this spring, becoming more podgy, beligerent, girth and reactive - not great for a “senior” rider. My trainer was concerned about the cellulite bum (see photo) and beginnings of a cresty neck. He is worked 5-6 times a week but it was always a battle for attention and I was riding very conservatively for peace and safety. In early spring he had been moved to a track system, adlib hay and other supplements, but it didn’t make much difference. 4 weeks ago we started Metabolize and Digestive EQ. Four weeks on he is a different boy - much calmer, working with more relaxation, and because of this I can work him harder to get the weight off. These products have really made a difference.

Love this product, 4weeks ago we were having major issues with our wee mini being sore and not wanting to move. She was being stabled and hand walked 2-3times a day. We started her on Metabolize and after a week slowly introduced outside time and now she is in her wee pen 24hours a day my wee girl can ride her again and I have a happy pony back who in the first time in owning her is trotting round her wee pen. I have owned my 23 year old horse since he was 8, he has always struggled with weight and lived in diet paddocks. Since using MetaboLize Doris fat deposits have evened out, are dissipating. She has softened through her topline, flank and stomach as she's not suffering chronic low grade laminitis continuously. Her swollen glands along her jawline have gone down and so has the swelling above her eyes. The long coat molted in winter! Leaving a short winter coat. Her farrier last trim has said "whatever you are doing, keep doing it!"

I quickly got on top of a lammy pony and put her onto metabolize. She was very lame. 6 weeks later she is sound and now strip grazing on grass. Unbelievable results. I didn’t think she would be eating grass until summer. It’s so great to see her eating, being sound and now in a large enough space she can move around and go for zoomies.

Have a Kaimanawa with EMS on Metabolise. He has had a bout of laminitis last November and was only just 5 years old. So far the fatty lumps aren’t so evident and his crest has reduced. We did move him onto a track with hay. He is having some grass now but not much. Fingers crossed he will be fine.

FAQ
MetaboLize attacks insulin resistance and sugar absorption throughout the GI tract and encourages the mobilization of fatty tissue. In addition, the ingredients in MetaboLize allow horses and ponies to move more freely and comfortably, speeding up their exercise rehabilitation timeline, and allowing them to burn extra fat and calories more quickly. By working with the body’s natural mechanisms to support and assist the management of carbohydrates more efficiently, and controlling sugars so they are used as energy and not stored as fat, this ideally breaks the cycle of metabolic health issues.
In a Vet Supervised field study, MetaboLize was shown to:
MetaboLize is particularly beneficial for horses and ponies who are insulin dysregulated. These are generally individuals who have been diagnosed with Equine Metabolic Syndrome, Cushing’s disease (PPID), Laminitis (particularly grass founder), or are obese (despite being on a restricted diet), and horses and ponies with fatty deposits (fatty lumps), and overly cresty necks.
MetaboLize also provides support for any horse who is particularly sensitive to sugar or starch in their diet, or who does not tolerate grass well.
Many horse owners who have used MetaboLize have reported great improvement in the overall demeanor, brightness, and desire to move forward and exercise in these cases, even after just a short time.
Horse owners who are using MetaboLize are reporting seeing improved physical changes in as early as 4-5 days, with horses appearing more comfortable and able to move about more freely. The softening of fatty lumps has been reported to occur within two weeks, and should continue to improve over time.
As your horse starts to process the sugars in their diet more normally you may see them become more engaged with life and with a desire and ability to move and exercise more freely.
If you don’t see a result that quickly, don’t panic. Every horse is different, and some may take longer to respond.
MetaboLize has been formulated using published research, and as part of the design phase developing MetaboLize, we undertook a 4 week Vet supervised trial with a cohort of randomly selected ponies in an attempt to measure various clinical outcomes. The trial was designed by an Associate Professor who is an expert in Insulin Dysregulation and conducted by our in-house Veterinarian, Dr. Erin Roddy with the blinded parts of the study conducted by unbiased veterinarians who are not employed by Poseidon Animal Health. The study was performed with the prior approval of the Secretary’s Animal Care and Ethics Committee (DPI, NSW: SECRETARY’S ACEC Project No. RVF22/1789).
The results showed reduction of blood glucose, insulin, and triglyceride levels.
Most of the ponies showed softening and decrease in fatty lumps. Several with lameness issues were moving more freely and had more energy even within a few days of starting Metabolize. The glucose challenge test showed a decrease in the blood glucose and insulin levels which is an indication that the sugar is being cleared from the blood and directed to muscle tissue instead of being deposited as fat.
All the ponies found it palatable and no adverse side effects were noted.

MetaboLize has been designed specifically with laminitic horses in mind. It can safely be used in horses with laminitis and does not contain any ingredients that may cause Laminitis. Just as with everything with laminitic horses, introduce it slowly, just to be on the safe side. Laminitics can be unpredictable, so slow is always best when adding something new to their diet.
